A digital microsite concept designed for an Urban Outfitters (UO) and Vacation® collaboration that seamlessly integrates the bold, retro-inspired identity of the Vacation Inc. product line into the existing platform. The microsite serves as an immersive destination where users can explore the products in a more engaging way. Merging the sun-drenched 80s Miami aesthetic of Vacation® with UO’s clean, structured framework, the microsite balances the visual language of a lifestyle brand while maintaining the credibility and recognition of a large-scale e-commerce site.

Design Process:

I began by analyzing the visual identities of both brands, which share a young, trend-driven audience drawn to nostalgic aesthetics. After sketching, I moved into Figma, where I wireframed a seamless extension of the Urban Outfitters site from scratch. Typography pairings of Helvetica for titles to maintain structural clarity and Garamond for body copy to introduce Vacation Inc.’s retro flair. This thoughtful fusion allowed the sun-faded filters, grainy textures, and vibrant product imagery to shine while feeling like a natural part of the parent platform.

Result:

The final interactive Figma prototype successfully delivers a cohesive brand takeover that brings the vibrant retro world of Vacation® to life within Urban Outfitters’ familiar environment. By thoughtfully blending the two identities, the microsite creates an immersive yet intuitive experience where users can deeply engage with the products in a memorable way.
